Sweet Liberty Salad! Red, White and Blueberries…

Red White and Blueberry Salad

Sweet Liberty Salad - Red white and blueberry saladPerfect Salad for the those hot summer days and ideal for Fourth of July festivities. The foundation:  Leafy mixed greens (use pre-mixed and washed bag for convenience- 9-10 oz) The Red:  Red lettuce (sparsely), dried cranberries (1 TSBP), fresh sliced strawberries ( approx 3/4 cup) The White:  Diced jicama (3/4 cup), feta cheese crumbles (1/2 cup), slivered almonds (1/4 cup) The Blue:  Fresh organic blueberries Sweet Liberty Dressing: Blend to taste, we recommend equal parts Blueberry Balsamic Vinegar and OO & B California Roasted Almond Oil ( 2 TBSP) – For added texture and sweetness add a ½ TBSP of our wildflower honey, stir vigorously to mix then toss into salad mix, sprinkle cheese crumbles and almonds after tossing. (Our Cinnamon Pear Balsamic works nicely, too!)  Approximately 4  servings. We think you’ll enjoy this sweet summer salad so much you may even pass up dessert!   Happy Independence Day!   Do you have a great recipe you’d like to share that uses premium oils, and/or balsamics?   Please send a note to Holly@oliveoilandbeyond.com
