Fine Virgin Olive Oil Dishes: Tasteful Food Offerings to Feed the Lot

A little drizzle or a whole cup – however much olive oil used, it will definitely make dishes more appetizing, especially if you’ll be serving for several guests. If you’re a chef at a restaurant or a caterer, you can surely create savory masterpieces with premium virgin olive oil, which has a ripe, silken quality that gives your food offerings a fragrant, tangy twist.

Foolproof Salmon Baked With olive Oil and Herbs

Red meat, poultry, fish, and even vegetables and fruits can all be slicked with the finest olive oil and roasted with different flavorings to make tender, tasteful meals. The Washington Post featured one mouthwatering salmon dish that’s “foolproof” and suitable as a main course for both fine dining restaurants and made-to-order catering services:

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil (

One 1 1/4-pound skin-on salmon fillet, preferably center-cut

Flaked sea salt

Freshly ground black pepper

1 large shallot (1 1/2-ounce lobe)

1/4 cup loosely packed dill fronds

Leaves from 4 to 6 stems flat-leaf parsley or leaves from 3 stems tarragon

1 lemon

Pour 1/4 cup of the oil into a baking dish just large enough to hold the salmon. Lay the salmon in the dish, skin side down. Season it liberally with salt and pepper.

Coarsely chop the shallot and dill (together is okay) and place them in a mini food processor, along with the parsley or tarragon leaves. Use a Microplane zester to grate the zest of the lemon directly over the bowl of the food processor. Pulse until finely chopped, then add the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil. Pulse just long enough to create a coarse paste.

Spread the herby paste on top of the salmon to make it moist and flavorsome as it roasts. In an oven preheated to 250 degrees, this dish can be finished in 25 minutes or until you confirm its doneness by using a fork (the densest part of the salmon should flake easily). The ingredients outlined above are enough for 4, so you can adjust the amounts depending on how many guests you’ll be serving.

You wouldn’t want to skimp on quality when it comes to dishes stamped with your name, so you must make sure that your cooking components are picked correctly. These roasted dishes would be tastier and more divine if you use Orange County wholesale gourmet ingredients, such as fresh organic olive oils, premium condiments, and quality spices that only first-class suppliers like Olive Oil and Beyond can provide.
